Short video explaining the founding and history of the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF), celebrating the organization's 75th anniversary. The video, which is a montage of still images with voiceovers, was exhibited in Philadelphia on May 2, 1990. Founded during World War I, WILPF has spent 75 years lobbying, demonstrating, and doing the work of peace. They were U. N. mediators and consultants. They worked internationally against militarism and U. S. intervention in developing countries. WILPF held workshops on conflict resolution and consensus decision-making. They promote peace, racial justice, food and housing equality, and more.
